Alfred Horsley Hinton

Biografía:

Fotógrafo británico nacido en 1863 y muerto en 1908. Estudió pintura con John Peel. Para 1890 comenzó a exhibir sus propias imágenes y era editor del Photographic Art Journal. Fue editor del periódico Amateur Photographer, impulsor de la fotografia pictorialista y miembro fundador de The Linked Ring.

Acerca de Hinton se ha dicho: “I think it was Horsley Hinton who exercised the most profound influence on British landscape photography and raised it to a higher plane of imaginative vision... During his brief career -1889 to 1907- he was the greatest force operating in the sphere of British photography” (Considero que Horsley Hinton fue quien ejerció la más profunda influencia en la fotografía de paisaje británica y la elevó a un plano más alto de visión imaginativa.
