Allocated Scholarships

To complete college education means having a professional career, meeting the goals of the education system and the students’ personal life. After this cycle the student has a title that allows him to have a better remunerated formal professional career and to be part of México’s development and transformation. At present México has a low coverage in this education level, calculated at barely 30%. Of this number, just half of the students finish their studies, basically because of economic problems.

Taking these factors into consideration Bécalos seeks to lower the lag, increase the number of college students, achieve a better balance between federal entities, and allow those students that start their studies to finish them and obtain their professional title.

Considering that technological mayors such as science and ingeniring are key for development, Bécalos supports them through agreements with the UNAM, the IPM, The National Scholarship Program for Higher Education, technological Universities (52 campus) and several state universities (8 campus).

Since 2008 Bécalos promotes academic excellence programs for low-income students in Autonomous State Universities. In the other hand, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (SEP) and the Embassy of France the best students from the Technological Universities study in France for a year. In 2010 3,782 students graduated from the IPN, the UNAM and the Technological Universities. Added to the 3,677 graduates from 2009, today Bécalos has 7,459 young people that have finished their college education.

The countries that have invested in college education are the ones that compete more favorably in the economy.
